CLEVELAND, Ohio — Most Greater Cleveland/Akron school districts increased the share of students Ohio counts as ready for college, careers, work or military service on the 2025-26 state report cards, even as ACT or SAT qualification rates declined in a majority of districts.
Seventy of 94 traditional public school districts across Cuyahoga, Geauga, Lake, Lorain, Medina, Portage and Summit counties improved on the overall readiness rate, according to a cleveland.com analysis of final state report-card data. In 55 districts, however, the share qualifying through ACT or SAT scores declined.
