Two teenagers were arrested after a stolen Hyundai being driven with a USB cable crashed into a tractor-trailer and a Paramus police vehicle during an attempted escape on Route 17, authorities said.
Sgt. Michael Mordaga spotted the 2013 Hyundai Elantra traveling up and down the aisles of the Westfield Garden State Plaza parking lot around 12:26 p.m. Monday, Sept. 21, Police Chief Robert Guidetti said.
Mordaga ran the vehicle’s information and learned it had been reported stolen out of Wallington, Guidetti said. The driver fled the mall after spotting Mordaga and entered Route 17 South, police said…
