CLEVELAND (WJW) — It’s not exactly shaping up to be beach weather this week, but officials are warning anyone heading to Lake Erie to stay out of the water.
A high risk of rip currents is expected along much of the Lake Erie shoreline through Wednesday evening, according to the National Weather Service.

Beach hazards statements are in effect for Cuyahoga, Erie, Lorain and Ottawa counties through Wednesday evening. A separate statement covers Lake and Ashtabula counties through Wednesday evening.
