DURHAM, N.C. (WNCN) — The evidentiary hearing ahead of the Faith Hedgepeth murder trial was held Monday.
Hedgepeth was a 19-year-old sophomore at the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill when she was found dead in her off-campus apartment on Sept. 7, 2012. Miguel Salguero Olivares was arrested in September 2021 and charged with murder in the case.
Pre-trial motions were heard in August. Evidence mentioned in those included Hedgepeth’s blood alcohol level on the night, where Salguero Olivares’ DNA was not found and what Hedgepeth’s roommate told investigators about the night of the crime…
