ALLENDALE TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) — A Grandville man who sheriff’s deputies say has been looking through windows near Grand Valley State University and, on at least one occasion, entered a home where women were sleeping now faces multiple charges.
Samuel Wilson, 34, of Grandville was arraigned Monday on two counts of surveilling an unclothed person, a count of using a computer to commit a crime and a count of disorderly person – window peeper, the Ottawa County Sheriff’s Office said. Bond was set at $50,000.
Man arrested in connection to peeping cases around Allendale Township
The sheriff’s office said it has gotten a dozen similar reports dating back to September of last year, all of them at off-campus housing in Allendale Township. In multiple cases, people reported a man was looking through windows or recording women in their apartments. In others, he went into homes, deputies said. All the incidents happened late at night or in the early morning.
Around 4:30 a.m. Sept. 14, a woman called 911 after she said a man came into her apartment on Becker Avenue off 48th Avenue while she and other women in the home slept. She said she woke up to find him in her bedroom. The man was gone by the time deputies arrived…
