MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. — Heather Shoopman, who moved to Myrtle Beach in 2002, said the Piggly Wiggly at 1700 N. Kings Highway was the first store she went to when she moved into her new home.
“I’ve been coming here ever since,” Shoopman said. “I like that you get a more personal experience when you’re here instead of having to go through a self checkout. I can’t imagine wanting to shop anywhere else.”
Shoopman doesn’t know where she will take her business after the store closes its doors in a few weeks…
