BRISTOL, R.I. (WPRI) — Thousands of residents in the East Bay had no power Saturday morning.
Around 10 a.m., more than 14,000 Rhode Island Energy customers across Bristol, Warren, Barrington, and even some spots of East Providence were left in the dark.
A spokesperson for RIE told 12 News it was “due to a transformer malfunction in the area after an animal came in contact with the equipment.”…
