Syracuse fans like most fanbases, don’t like excuses. After the latest loss, Fran Brown’s post-game press conference started to veer into “SAD” territory- Scott, Adrian, Dino.
As the losses started to add up (or in Shafer’s case even before they piled up), these coaches started to annoy the Orange fans with their inability to directly address their team’s performance. A fanbase which grew accustomed to Jim Boeheim’s candor, has no patience for coach-speak, excuses, or just plain avoidance of the topic.
