MARION, Iowa (Iowa’s News Now) — The City of Marion provided an update on the flash flooding that occurred over the weekend.
Crews are continuing to monitor low-lying areas, but flows have stabilized and pumps have been turned off.
Indian Creek is returning to its banks and the water receded considerably Sunday night. The Parks and Recreation Department is doing an initial damage assessment of parks and trails in the flood plain and will develop a work plan for any necessary repairs…
