JANS – Shower Power, a nonprofit helping downtown Jackson’s unhoused population, is the beneficiary of the 42nd WellsFest Music Festival.
The popular, family-friendly event will be Saturday, Sept. 26, at the Mississippi Agriculture and Forestry Museum, 1150 Lakeland Drive, Jackson, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The alcohol- and drug-free festival features non-stop music, children’s activities, food trucks, arts and crafts vendors, a plant sale, and an online auction. There is no charge for admission or parking.
Wells United Methodist Church has presented WellsFest as an outreach ministry since 1984. Each year, the church selects a different local non-profit social service agency to receive all net proceeds from WellsFest. The previous 41 WellsFests have raised more than $1.6 million to benefit social service non-profits in the metro area…
