A 38-year-old man was critically injured after accidentally shooting himself while trying to secure a gun following the apparent self-inflicted shooting of a 15-year-old boy at a North Side home, according to the San Antonio Police Department.
A preliminary police report states the 15-year-old had recently run away but returned Sunday to his home in the 500 block of Marchmont Lane. Around 5 p.m., police said he suffered an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound.
