The song first claimed the top spot in February 2026 and, after a brief displacement, returned to No. 1 on the July 4 chart, maintaining its position ever since. This impressive feat highlights the enduring popularity of “Choosin’ Texas” over the past several months.
Billboard’s Hot 100 ranks songs based on a combination of streaming, radio airplay, and sales, reflecting overall popularity in the United States. Prior to Langley’s breakthrough, Carey’s festive anthem had dominated holiday seasons since December 2019, amassing 22 weeks at No. 1 by early 2026.
