AIKEN, S.C. (WRDW/WAGT) – South Carolina Rep. Melissa Oremus is getting updates from the Transportation Department about two intersections in Aiken County.
The department said the intersection at Blanchard Road and Ascauga Lake Road does not need a traffic signal, and crash rates there are below average. The department did find that the 45 mph speed limit sign needs to be moved to a more visible location, trees need to be cut back and part of the road needs to be repainted.
The intersection at Pine Log Road and Highway 278 also does not need a traffic signal, according to the department. That intersection needs a repair to a low shoulder, stop signs, a crosswalk warning, fresh paint and shrubs cut back…
