LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Bourbon and Beyond is set to begin Thursday at the Highland Festival Grounds, days after Louder Than Life wrapped up at the same location, bringing another major crowd to Louisville.
The music and culinary festival is expected to draw hundreds of thousands of fans. Local tourism and business leaders said the back-to-back festivals create a significant boost for restaurants, shops and venues across the city. “We want them here, out exploring things, shopping local shopping small,” said Katie Meinhart, owner of Paxton’s Provisions and president of the NuLu Business Association.
