It’s been well over a generation since music legends like Bruce Springsteen, Ray Charles, Hall & Oates, and the Dave Matthews Band played at Newark’s legendary Stone Balloon, but a new ordinance could help Newark return to the musical stage.
Newark City Council approved an ordinance that would allow a live entertainment venue to be built in the downtown district, and extend the ability for restaurants and taverns to move tables to create dance areas for late-night musical acts.
