TEXARKANA — The two police departments that split Texarkana down State Line Avenue reported 589 violent crimes in 2025, up from 383 the year before, according to the annual crime reports published by Texas and Arkansas. Aggravated assaults across the two cities rose from 303 to 490.
Both states saw violent crime fall. Texas recorded a 12 percent decline, and aggravated assaults in Arkansas dropped 8 percent.
