TROY, N.Y. (NEWS10) — A family-owned delicatessen and pizzeria in the city of Troy has closed its doors after more than three decades in business. Patricelli’s Deli & Catering officially shuttered down on September 15.

Al Patricelli founded the restaurant alongside his wife, Kelly, in 1995. Determined to follow in the footsteps of his father — also a longtime restaurateur in Troy — Patricelli told NEWS10 that he built the business from scratch.
“I had nothing,” Patricelli said. “My wife and I had to take out a loan.”
Patricelli’s now-close friend and business partner, Vinny Rayno, joined the restaurant the following year. The deli then quickly began to grow, undergoing several expansions through the years…
