GRAND RAPIDS, MI — Construction is underway on Alpine Senior Apartments, a $17.6 million development with 52 low-income apartments in Grand Rapids’ West Grand neighborhood.
Volker Development and local officials held a ceremonial groundbreaking Tuesday for the project, which is located at 1625 Alpine Ave. NW. The property was formerly home to a Twisters Ice Cream store.
Once complete, Alpine Senior Apartments will have 28 one-bedroom and 24 two-bedroom units for residents age 55 and older…
