I grew up in Columbus, a small community outside of Hope, Arkansas. I have spent my professional life in Little Rock, but I have never lost sight of where I came from. That perspective has shaped the way I look at Arkansas.
I have watched communities with the right combination of vision, investment and opportunity change dramatically. I have also watched communities struggle when investment passes them by. That is why I support Issue 3.
The argument for Issue 3 should not be complicated. Arkansas needs more investment, not less. And if we want smaller communities to compete for that investment, they need the tools to do it…
