Newberg man killed in single-vehicle crash on Highway 126W in Lane County

LANE COUNTY, Ore. — A single-vehicle crash on Highway 126W in Lane County late Friday night left two people dead, including a Newberg man and a teenage passenger, Oregon State Police said.

Troopers responded at about 10:02 p.m. Friday, Sept. 18, 2026, to the crash near milepost 33 on Highway 126W. Investigators said a red Subaru Forester, driven by Max Timothy Hill, 48, of Newberg, was traveling eastbound when, for unknown reasons, it left the roadway and struck a tree on the shoulder.
