A Buncombe County man will serve five to seven years in prison after pleading guilty to trafficking fentanyl and attaining habitual felon status.
The case began with an Asheville police investigation into a stolen electric bicycle. Officers spotted Brandon Lloyd Cox, 44, riding a bike matching the description of the stolen property. When officers tried to stop him, Cox fled on foot.
