DICKSON COUNTY, Tenn. (WKRN) — An investigation is underway after one kitten died and another was injured after reportedly being tossed from a vehicle in Dickson County Monday.
According to the Humane Society of Dickson County, the two tiny felines were seen being thrown from a vehicle along Highway 70 on Monday, Sept. 21, leading to the death of one kitten on the side of the road.
However, officials said the other kitten, Caesar, was brought to the shelter “terrified, injured, and without the sibling who had been beside him through his short little life.”

The shelter said Caesar’s leg was badly injured, but since he’s so little, X-rays couldn’t clearly show whether it was broken or dislocated, so he’ll need weeks of crate rest before a recheck. However, his leg will probably need to be amputated…
