South Carolina ranks among the top in traffic accident deaths nationwide after a statewide organization released a study highlighting dangerous road trends.
The state recorded 951 traffic deaths in 2024, giving the state one of the nation’s highest traffic fatality rates despite a decline from the previous year, according to the South Carolina Department of Public Safety.
