A developing nor’easter is threatening millions of Americans along the East Coast with rain, flooding and wind gusts up to 70 miles per hour.
WRAL reports coastal food alerts were issued Wednesday from North Carolina’s Outer Banks region to the New Jersey coastline. Tropical storm force wind gusts of 40-50 mph could be felt as surf zone wave heights reach up to 15 feet, meteorologist Chris Michaels said.
Fox Weather reports the storm is expected to become the first nor’easter of the season as it emerges off the Mid-Atlantic coast and heads northeast towards New England.
