INDIANAPOLIS — A 17-year-old has been arrested on several firearms charges after police say he brought a gun onto the Butler University campus.
The teen was arrested Tuesday afternoon at 4702 Sunset Avenue, the address for both Chatham Tap and Butler Parking Services near Hinkle Fieldhouse. He now faces preliminary charges of possession of a firearm on school property and possession of a machine gun conversion device.
An IMPD police report says that officers seized a Glock 19X 9mm semiautomatic handgun from the teen, as well as 30 live 9mm bullets. The report did not provide much insight into the arrest, simply stating that a “juvenile was arrested on multiple gun charges.”…
