MEMPHIS, Tenn. — A Shelby County deputy who lost his job after he tested positive during a random drug test has won his job back.
The Tennessee Court of Appeals said David McGriff was wrongfully terminated in 2024.
McGriff argued he tested positive because of off-duty use of CBD gummies for pain and insomnia and said they were purchased legally.
