TOLEDO, Ohio (WTVG) – The Toledo Police Department is working with the Buffalo Soldiers on a series of community forums after comments an officer made to a group of teens in May circulated online and sparked outrage.
The first forum is scheduled for Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Glass City Enrichment Center.
In May, officers stopped a group of teens on Sylvan Avenue for walking in the street without using a crosswalk. Video from the scene shows an officer speaking to the teens. Officer Zachary Cairl told the teens to “enjoy poverty.”…
