JACKSON, Miss. (WLBT) -With no money in budgets to keep Grove Park Golf Course maintained, one local contractor decided to take matters into his own hands. An appeal from a Hinds County supervisor led him to offer his time and equipment to mow the course at no cost.
“I remember the days when I was little I used to see all the golf carts and people over here playing golf,” said Jackson native Steven Jones. Tuesday he looked at the high grass at the Grove Park Golf Course and recalled as a child that his uncle brought him to the once pristine greens.
