NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) – A crime watchdog is questioning how a Jefferson Parish Sheriff’s Office lieutenant who previously left law enforcement agencies while under investigation was later rehired before being fired following a DWI arrest Monday.
Lt. Aaron Verrette, 51, of Metairie, was arrested Sept. 21 after deputies responded to a report of a man asleep behind the wheel of a vehicle in the 1700 block of Veterans Memorial Boulevard.
