A Florida-based fast casual fried chicken franchise is opening its first Kansas City location next month.
Huey Magoo’s, known for its fried chicken tenders, chicken sandwiches, wraps and salads, will open at 4049 Little Blue Pkwy in Independence near a Dairy Queen, Menards and Black Bear Diner. According to the franchise’s Facebook profile, a location in Harrisonville is also in the works, with more planned for the Kansas City area.
The franchise was founded in Orlando 2004 and has since expanded to over 90 locations across 12 states. Huey Magoo’s only uses what they call the best 3% of the chicken referred by them as the “filet mignon of chicken,” according to Huey Magoo’s website…
