ROGERSVILLE, Mo. (KY3) – The Rogersville Police Department is asking for help identifying a person accused of breaking into a local business, an incident that was caught on surveillance camera.
Police say the case started as a burglary investigation. The surveillance footage is from inside the Cozumel Mexican Restaurant, located at 110 Dempsey Drive in Rogersville. The footage shows the person police believe is responsible.
The video is dated September 11. Around 4:40 a.m., footage shows the person walking through the restaurant. At one point, the person appears to notice the camera and pulls up a hood. The person then goes to the cash register, pries it open, and removes items from inside, according to the video. The footage also shows the person going through what appears to be a file cabinet below the register before leaving…
