A Eugene man was arrested after police said he struck two people in the head with a stick Monday evening near Highway 99N and Roosevelt Boulevard.
Just before 7 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 21, an officer with the Eugene Police Department (EPD) was flagged down on Highway 99N near Roosevelt Boulevard. Witnesses told the officer a suspect carrying two large sticks had swung at one of the witnesses and struck another man who was passing by. Witnesses also reported another person had been injured by the suspect nearby.
One of the victims, a 61-year-old man, told police he was walking home when the suspect struck him. The other victim, a 48-year-old man, told police he was asleep when he was struck. Both victims had injuries…
