After an extensive search in Poestenkill for a man they believed to be heavily armed, State Police say they’ve taken the 39-year-old into custody.
The troopers have not said why they were searching for James Cooper IV in the area around Route 351 and Chain Mountain Way on Wednesday afternoon.
Police, in an alert, said he was “believed to be on foot and armed with multiple firearms,” and urged people to avoid Cooper and call 911 if they spot him. At 6:55 p.m., State Police issued an update that he had been taken into custody…
