BPD & KCSO discuss increased presence and safety tips while at the Kern County Fair

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KBAK/KBFX) — The Kern County Fair returns on Wednesday, and Bakersfield Police Chief Brett Stratton and Kern County Undersheriff Larry McCurtain joined ARC Bakersfield to discuss safety measures and what attendees should know.

Attendees can expect to see an increase in officers and deputies. Police Chief Stratton said it is a partnership with Kern County law enforcement, including officers from Shafter police, Delano police, McFarland police, and Kern County Probation, helping with the fair.
