CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. — Fourteen students and two teachers were taken to the hospital Wednesday after a broken thermometer prompted fears of a mercury exposure at Dalewood Middle School.
It turned out there was no mercury.
The Chattanooga Fire Department says a thermometer was dropped during a routine experiment in a science lab at the Shallowford Road school.
