An Ohio restaurant with ties to Chef Boyardee is set to open in Cleveland with a menu prepared by one of the city’s most popular chefs.
Restaurateur and consulting chef Douglas Katz has been tapped to head the menu at Ettore, a new eatery coming to downtown Cleveland in early 2028, Crain’s Cleveland and Cleveland.com reported.
The $120 million Project Scarlet development will be located at E. Ninth Street and Prospect Avenue as the historic Rose and Sloan buildings undergo major renovations that will also include a hotel and luxury apartments.
Ettore is named after Italian-American chef Ettore Boiardi, who used the Americanized phonetic spelling of his last name to create the Chef Boyardee empire. He also used “Hector” as his first name after leaving his birthplace of Piacenza, Italy…
