(WJET/WFXP)– After closing the doors to their Erie location eight years ago, Toys “R” Us is opening a new store inside the Millcreek Mall.
The new store will be coming to Erie next month offering a smaller experience officials said would bring the joy and excitement Toys “R” Us became known for with an easy-to-shop experience.

While no specific opening date has been announced at this time, officials said the new store is tentatively scheduled to open some time in October n a 6,700-square-foot space of the mall in the Boscov’s Concourse, next to American Eagle Outfitters.
Shoppers will be able to choose from all kinds of popular toys and brands like LEGO, Barbie, Hot Wheels, NERF, PAW Patrol, and more.
