JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – A few weeks after a deadly shooting at an extended-stay hotel near Beach Boulevard, a family is still coping with the loss of a father while urging the community to help prevent more violence.
A close family friend of Charles Newsome, 47, who did not want to be identified, said Newsome’s wife is still in shock.
“It’s been tough,” the friend said. “I’ve been trying to help his wife as best as I can. She’s in shock, of course.”…
