The Texas Department of Transportation has lowered the speed limit in an area just outside Sinton in order to help mitigate the number of crashes in the area, according to the Sinton Police Department.
SPD announced Sept. 22 that TxDOT has lowered the speed limit between the TxDOT building and the overpass before Rob and Bessie Welder Park on Highway 181 from 75 miles per hour to 65 miles per hour.
