NEW YORK — Leigh Waldman has been promoted to CNN correspondent, the network announced today. Beginning Oct. 12, she will be based in Los Angeles and will report across CNN platforms, bringing her field reporting experience and strong affiliate newsroom background to the network’s domestic news coverage.
Waldman previously served as a correspondent for CNN Newsource, based in New York, where she reported for CNN’s more than 1,000 affiliate partners. Since joining CNN, she has covered major national stories, including the deadly Fourth of July flooding in Central Texas, the devastating impact of hurricanes along the Gulf Coast, school shootings, and the historic launch and return of astronauts aboard Boeing’s Starliner.
Waldman began her CNN career as an intern at the network’s headquarters in Atlanta and joins a roster of CNN Newsource journalists who have advanced into correspondent and anchor roles across the network…
