The University of Colorado Boulder chancellor’s house sold for $4 million on Monday, after Chancellor Justin Schwartz moved out this summer for unspecified personal reasons.
The Chautauqua neighborhood home, in the 500 block of 14th Street in Boulder, was listed on July 20 for $4.45 million. The CU Foundation purchased the home for $3.75 million in 2024 when Schwartz became chancellor, rather than having him and his family move into the existing residence at 3600 Caddo Parkway, where former Chancellor Phil DiStefano lived.
Since 2024, the university has invested $274,000 into repairs and renovations at the Caddo Parkway home, which has been used for various events and will likely be torn down in the future to make space for faculty and staff housing…
