A 21-year-old Boise woman has admitted to two felonies this month after her arrest in connection to shooting near Boise State University. And she could face decades behind bars.
As part of a plea deal with the Ada County Prosecutor’s Office, Sophie Rains pleaded guilty to aggravated battery and an enhancement for the use of a deadly weapon in commission of a felony. Each charge is punishable by up to 15 years in prison.
On May 17, sometime before 12:45 a.m., Rains led a man into an alleyway near West Belmont Street and South Longmont Avenue, which is just off of South Broadway Avenue, according to the Boise Police Department and Ada County Prosecutor’s Office.
