Fort Collins has been home to an Anheuser-Busch production facility (‘The Bud Plant’) since 1988. Many across Northern Colorado have worked there, or at least known someone who’s worked there. It looks like more and more will be working there, as Anheuser-Busch is investing over $20 million.
$23 Million Coming to Fort Collins Anheuser-Busch Plant
According to The Coloradoan and a press release from Anheuser-Busch, the Fort Collins manufacturing facility will be seeing $23 million going into improving facets of the plant, part of which will make the plant able to produce 25 oz cans of beer.
What is the Training Center Coming to the Fort Collins Anheuser-Busch Plant?
They’ll also be adding a new training center; while you might think that the training would be for “new hires” coming on board, it will be for current employees to get new skills for working with the equipment.
In addition, Anheuser-Busch will be adding new railroad cars; maybe those 25 oz. cans of beer are involved with that (probably not). Currently, about 30 railcars leave the plant each week with fresh beer; over 200 trucks leave the facility every day with Fort Collins-made “Budweiser” product.
