SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (Dakota News Now) – Five Sioux Falls high schools will host the 39th Annual Festival of Bands USA on Saturday, October 3, bringing marching programs from across the region to the city.
Bands from Jefferson, Lincoln, O’Gorman, Roosevelt, and Washington high schools host the festival and will perform in exhibition during the downtown parade. Sioux Falls School District Superintendent Dr. Jamie Nold will serve as this year’s Grand Marshal.
Following the parade, dozens of bands will compete in preliminary and final field competitions at Howard Wood Field. Preliminary competition begins at 10:45 a.m., with the top 10 scoring bands advancing to the finals at 6:30 p.m…
