Stella Parton Honors Sister Dolly One Month After Her Passing
Stella Parton has opened up about the deep sorrow she feels as she marks one month since the loss of her beloved sister, country music icon Dolly Parton. On September 24, Stella took to social media to share a heartfelt message reflecting on Dolly’s enduring presence.
“Good morning, look at this beautiful day we are blessed to receive! Tomorrow will be one month since my big sister Dolly left us on this side of what is called reality!”
Stella wrote. She expressed comfort in feeling Dolly’s spirit nearby, adding, “Her light will never go out because the seeds of goodness she planted in all our lives will keep growing!”
In her message, Stella also extended gratitude to the countless fans who have shown love and support during this difficult time. “It has been a comfort to experience such an outpouring of love on her behalf as we grieve her passing,” she said.
The Parton family has faced additional grief recently, having lost their brother Denver just weeks before Dolly’s death on August 25 at age 80. Stella acknowledged the shared challenges families face in times of loss, noting, “All families have the same struggles since we are all living in this world having a human experience!”
Despite the heartache, Stella assured that the family remains united and committed to moving forward. “Our children and grandchildren look to us for strength and guidance during this difficult time of loss and confusion for them as well,” she explained.
Recent reports have speculated about tensions within the family regarding Dolly’s estate, especially following the dismissal of her nephew Bryan Seaver, who served as head of security for two decades. Addressing the rumors, Stella emphasized, “Regardless of what you may have seen on different news outlets, we are all doing what you would be doing under the same circumstances, we are living our lives one day at a time and being grateful for every blessing.”
In a tribute to Dolly’s legacy, California Governor Gavin Newsom declared September 25 as Dolly Parton Day, honoring her timeless hit “9 to 5.” While it is not yet known if members of the Parton family will attend the official celebrations, Stella expressed appreciation for the support from fans.
