GREENVILLE, S.C. (FOX Carolina) – The South Carolina Highway Patrol reported a fatal crash early Thursday morning.
Officials said the crash happened around 3:40 a.m. on South Pleasantburg Drive (SC 291) near I-85 when a 2017 Mitsubishi traveling north struck an electric scooter that was illegally in the roadway. The driver of the Mitsubishi was not injured, but the person riding the electric scooter died on the scene.
The Greenville County Coroner’s Office has not yet identified the victim…
