JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – A man in his late teens was beaten, pistol-whipped and shot during an armed robbery in Jacksonville’s Northside, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office.
Officers responded around 10:20 a.m. Wednesday to Vantage Way South near Tradeport Drive after the victim reported being attacked by several suspects. He was taken to a local hospital, treated for facial injuries and released.
The victim later returned to the hospital around 6:35 p.m. with a gunshot wound to his upper right thigh. Investigators said the wound happened during the robbery but was not initially reported or detected. His injuries were considered non-life-threatening…
