Officers with the Avon Police Department were called to a Texas Roadhouse location Wednesday evening following reports of a physical altercation inside the restaurant, according to scanner traffic monitored by local alert groups.
Dispatch Reports Fight and Possible Injuries
The initial call came in shortly after 8 p.m., with dispatchers relaying reports of a fight taking place inside the restaurant. Hendricks County Fire Department units were also dispatched to the scene after reports that at least one person may have sustained injuries during the incident. The extent of any injuries has not been confirmed, and no official statement has yet been released by Avon Police or fire officials.
Witnesses on scene described a chaotic situation as officers arrived, with one person believed to be involved in the altercation reportedly leaving the restaurant before police got there. That individual was said to have gotten into a black Kia in the parking lot.
Suspect Vehicle Search Continues
Avon Police located and stopped the black Kia in the restaurant’s parking lot shortly after arriving. However, occupants of the vehicle reportedly told officers that the person involved in the fight was not with them and had instead left the area in a separate van. That vehicle had already left the scene by the time police made contact with the Kia.
