HENRICO COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) — A Henrico farm owner is looking for support on a proposed law that lets Virginia farms serve the food they grow.
Celeste Farms owner Ian Newell said the Farm Restaurant Act gives farmers a tiered approach to serving food and is financially sensitive to their needs.
The proposed law has several categories for food trucks, catering and farm restaurant models. It’s also scalable to any farm size. Each tier has its own rules for number of guests, fees, facility, parking, staffing and sanitation requirements…
