TONIGHT: KTSM has extended the Weather Authority Alert through Friday evening for three reasons: 1. We could see another round of t-showers with heavy rain overnight tonight. 2. Thursday will bring t-showers, some with heavy rain. 3. Friday will heat up, and the storms could reach severe limits. We will see partly cloudy skies for a couple hours this evening, but skies will once again cloud up. Expect scattered overnight t-showers, some bringing heavy rainfall. The NE winds will range from 5-15 mph with gusts near area storms. The low will drop to 61 with areas of patchy fog.
FORECAST: Thursday will be partly to mostly cloudy and 82 with scattered t-showers and t-showers. Individual storms may produce locally heavy rainfall. We will see moments of sunshine on Thursday with a high level of humidity. Friday will be partly cloudy and 89 with scattered late day t-showers. Yes, some storms may produce heavy rainfall and even small hail as storms could reach potential severe limits. Saturday will be partly cloudy and 90 with a slightly drier feel. We have a slight chance of isolated area t-storms Saturday evening. Sunday will be partly cloudy with a high of 91. Late Sunday, the clouds will thicken. At this point, the long-range data point to another surge of tropical moisture, this time from the remnants of Hurricane Polo. Monday will bring a wave of t-showers and the threat of heavy rain.
